Mother of Murdered 3-Year-Old Pleads Not Guily

2008_08_bkabuse.jpgKimberly Cantos, the mother of 3-year-old Ginelis Jimenez who was brutally beaten to death by her father, pleaded not guilty to multiple counts of endangering the welfare of a child because she never took Ginelis to the doctor for the previous abuse. Her lawyer yesterday claimed that Cantos too was the victim of Michael Jimenez saying, "She was controlled by fear. She was rendered powerless. He beat her. He choked her." Meanwhile Jimenez was placed on suicide watch after an alleged attempt to hang himself. A police source also revealed what the "misbehavior" was that set off Jimenez, "She was toilet trained and she had an accident and her father said he lost it."

Prison justice would be having his cell mates pull a train on him every night for all eternity.

That little face in that picture breaks my heart.

Michael Jimenez will soon be receiving his own special toilet training.

This is heartbreaking--as someone said yesterday, at least the 1-year-old child is in ACS custody now.
