Meadowlands Trying to Weed Pigs out of Pigskin Fans

2008_08_giants.jpgThe Meadowlands has released a new code of conduct cutting back the amount of time fans can tailgate before a game from seven hours to five. That means no more 6 A.M. Bloody Marys for Giants fans looking to get an early start at combating the stadium's strict alcohol policy which does not allow beer to be sold after halftime. The new code of conduct also requires fans to abstain from "foul or abusive language and obscene gestures and harassment of visiting team fans." Giants Stadium will also now have view-blocking banners hung on the spiral staircase where last year during halftime of Jets games women were strongly encouraged to reveal their breasts to leering fans below. Any season ticket holders ejected from games will have their yearly passes revoked.

What are tailgaters going to do now?

So if you give the finger to a Cowboys fan they'll revoke your season tickets? What's this world coming to?

If you're getting up before 6am to get to the stadium and get drunk, chances are you're a total a-hole.

Isn't tailgating for 7 hours a bit much anyway?

yeah that does seem like a lot, a few hours is good enough to eat and get a little toasted. Actually I don't know if I've even tailgated more than 2 hours.

I love that only Jets fans scream at women to doff their tops. I'm really glad I root for the Giants. And therefore do not have people screaming at me to take off my clothes while I'm trying to go to frickin' football game.

And at half time we'll all lay down for nap time with some warm milk and chocolate chip cookies.
For fucks sake.

Puh-leeze, the women who go to Gate D (and you have to go outside and onto the outdoor spiral staircase) are going there on purpose. It's not like the men are randomly harassing women throughout the stadium.

8am seems plenty early to start drinking on a Sunday morning, and this is coming from someone who enjoys his drinking.
