Actor Ed Asner, former Dallas Cowboy Mark Stepnoski, and formerly famous hip hop group Arrested Development are leading a petition drive to get a referendum on New York City’s November ballot that would establish a new 9/11 investigation. If the group, called 911 Truth, can collect 30,000 signatures before September 4th, the City Council will be required to consider the measure, which calls for an investigative panel with subpoena authority.
Former Senator Mike Gravel (who would join the panel along with former senator Lincoln Chafee, Asner and 9/11 widow Lorie Van Auken) tells NY Mag that “the original commission didn’t get to the bottom of anything. We need to investigate from scratch.” Among the “Top 40” reasons the group gives to doubt the official story of 9/11, from their website:
- "Al-CIA-da?" The longstanding relationship between US intelligence networks and radical Islamists.
- Flight 93. Did the Shanksville crash occur at 10:06 (according to a seismic report) or 10:03 (according to the 9/11 Commission)? Does the Commission wish to hide what happened in the last three minutes of the flight, and if so, why?
- Pentagon Strike. How was it possible the Pentagon was hit 1 hour and 20 minutes after the attacks began? Why was there no response from Andrews Air Force Base, just 10 miles away.

Please do a bit of research on WTC 7, the building was not hit with an airplane nor was it struck with much debris from 1 or 2 yet is mysteriously fell like it was imploded. Even the governments own 9/11 report cannot explain why this building fell.
Common sense people get your head out of the sand and do some research.
Um, MrEthiopian, 7WTC sustained significant fire damage prior to collapse, not to mention there is photographic proof of the debris cloud catching the face of the building facing the WTC site and as such, is incredibly likely to have sustained damage from debris...

The fact that they appointed Kissinger to head the commission should be glaring enough. Kind of like appointing Vito Corleone to investigate mafia activity.

If they didn't knock down the towers they certainly let it happen and if not they failed miserably in stopping the attack even though there was a huge amount of evidence that they knew an attack was in the offing (remember the PDB anyone, "Bin Laden determined to attack").
So the three options are
1. Bush admin did it (Bush didn't have to know anything operational, and Cheney is far too crafty to have anything lead to him) and are war criminals and traitors of the highest order.
2. The admin knew something big was going to go down and they let it happen (the lack of air defense response is interesting, no?) and again they are huge traitors.
3. They knew something was up but Condi (Nat sec advisor), Tenet, the FBI, and the military were so incompetent and Bush and Cheney were too stupid to get the proper authorities motivated and coordinated to stop an attack, in which case we rallied around a bunch of idiot key-stone cops after the attack instead of drumming these incompetent crooks out of office.
Anyone of these scenarios is appalling and whether or no you think they made it happen, let it happen, or were too stupid to stop it, the 911 commission held no one accountable for anything, and in fact some of these idiots got promotions.
Wise up people, there is justification for a new investigation no matter how you look at it.
