A 21-year-old man has been arrested for fatally slashing his 32-year-old girlfriend in a Queens apartment. Veronica Rivera was pronounced dead at the scene, and police say she was killed in front of her 9-year-old and 6-month-old daughter after an argument with the baby's father, Pedro Ayala.
