My ex is a finance chick, she dressed like she was going to a funeral every day. I guess in a certain sense she was. A funeral for her soul.

i like this part:

"The sexist attitudes that are regularly part of "Mad Men" plot lines seem incompatible with modern agencies like Droga5."

cough **bullsh*t** cough

Just picked up the box set for season 1 mad men yesterday; what a great show.

I would have flourished in that era. I would trade my gym@ lunch, open collar, blackberry lifestyle for a 3+ martini lunch, full suit wiht a pocket square and a secretary....That would be awesome!

Okay - as a creative I will speak for some of us. Yes, some of us do dress like grown children, but admit it... if we showed up in suits - and no flair *coughs* like the finance folks, you all would be worried that we're not.... "eccentric" enough. on the flip side, i really wish that my colleugues(SP???) would stop dressing like I did when I was 10, 11 and 12 years old. Oh and please for the love of god, please toss the nasty flip flops. And the ugly Kayne Glasses and the see thru tank tops.

So, in the end, my point is, there is a fine line of professionalism.

"creatives" have a tendency to dress like grown children. At least in this article they admit as much.

I'd be a little more concerned with making sure the men don't *act* like Donald Draper as opposed to dressing like him. Dude has got some serious, serious issues, and is a pretty shitty husband.
