Radiohead was excellent as expected. APW was an overpriced, poorly organized mess. I have a hard time imagining a band that would get me to go back next year.

#5: I disagree. I was there on Friday and my friends and I kept on remarking on how well the event was organized. The beer pens were a little annoying but it kept the rest of the area free of stray cups and spillage and annoying drunk kids! And there were plenty of bathrooms and signage (and those little maps they handed out told you where to go anyway). We were afraid that the wait for the exiting ferries would be horrendous but they had 5 ferries running simulateously. Obviously a lot of planning went into the event. Radiohead was mind-blowing of course.

Bottom line, I will never attend another event at Liberty State Park. The irony was, there was hardly any Liberty. APW was very unorganized and lacked all the elements of decent crowd control. 1. There was minimal signage telling you where to go for bathrooms (which by the way, I think there was one bathroom per 1,000 people) 2. There was no signage directing people to the ferry, trains, and parking lots. 3. The 5 beer limit was ridiculous which in turn made the prices jump from the typical concert beer price of $6-7 to $9-10. It's hard to pace yourself with 5 beers. 4. The fenced in beer drinking area was a joke as was the fact that not being able to walk around with your beer from stage to stage—ridiculous. 5. There were no cabs at South Street Sea Port after the show. APW could have easily made a TLC broadcast telling the cabbies that thousands of people were descending upon the Sea Port between 1030PM and 1AM. Overall the shows and music were great, the venue and APW weren't well organized, but I went to see good music.

It was actually really good til 4 pm. No lines or anything. Then all of a sudden 4 pm comes along and you had at least half the people show up out of nowhere. I really liked Chromeo but they were on too early. Animal Collective started out amazing but I could see how they got annoying. I actually slept through most of it. Kings of Leon were absolute shite though. They were like mediocre bon jovi without the pop hits. I think Thom Yorke gave them a backhanded compliment. Radiohead were amazing as always. I kinda noticed that there weren't many hot chicks at the concert as the one's in MSG which is really saying something as there were 30000 plus people. Also not many real hipsters, More like wanna-be hipsters from the midwest who read the hipster handbook and a LOT of eco-nerds and music geeks.

I went on friday. It was super tight but wish I had have seen Exit Music, Airbag and Planet Telex on the sat. You realise how good Radiohead are when they can put together strong and deep setlists that vary gig to gig. The crowd was pretty subdued/lame though, probably due to the nazi alcohol situation.
