- From the Gothamist Newsmap: A water rescue at Ocean Pkwy & Sea Breeze Ave in Brooklyn, a large crowd at St Johns & Southern Blvd in the Bronx, and a stabbing at E 17th St & Union Sq E in Manhattan.
- Another sexual assault takes place in Queens, but cops won't say if it's connected to the fourteen other recent incidents.
- The awful shooting of a taxi driver-- Commissioner Kelly said, "He is shot in one eye. The bullet exits the other eye."
- Prosecutors describe the grisly details of how the victim murdered at a nightclub during Lil' Kim's birthday was battered "savagely and viciously."
- Reporters get a two hour window to view Mayor Bloomberg's tax returns, notice that he earned more this year from his daughter Georgina's equestrian winnings.
- Governor Paterson signs a bill to officially rename the Triborough Bridge after Robert F. Kennedy.

Yay for fiscal conservation, Patterson - they'll pay to change all those names and everybody will still call it the Triborough.
Given the contribution to New York State by Robert F. Kennedy, that pedestrian bridge that got knocked down the other day on the Bruckner Expressway is the sort of structure that should be named after him.
Patterson is obviously an idiot for signing the damn thing since at minimum at least tens of thousands of dollars will be wasted on the thing.
Where did that photo come from?
i took it yesterday in red hook.
wow, classic CB, nice anvil, sweet (at least for outside the Great Plains!)
Someone killed at a rap star's party in a club, and cab drive shot in the head in Brooklyn. The world remains long on tragedy and short on (yawn) surprises.
Anyone notice that there are SEVEN overturned autos on the map?
I drove past the one on the Van Wyck earlier, just as emergency services was showing up. PRetty bad lookin, sittin there in the center lane.
I saw that cloud at All Points West. It was incredible. It also caused me to use my cameraphone for the first time. Spectacular
