Charges Unlikely for Cop in Fatal Shooting

2008_08_nypd.jpgA surveillance video surfaced capturing Ortanzso Bovell inside a stolen car sideswiping an NYPD lieutenant who then accidentally fired his gun, killing Bovell. The video backs up the account given by Lt. John Chell of the incident that took place in East New York on Thursday night. Bovelliwas pulled over when a police scan of his license plate matched that of a vehicle reported stolen in New Jersey on Wednesday. Bovell had more than a dozen arrests, including, per the Daily News, "robbery, assault and possession of weapons," but his mother said, "You could walk from one end of the Earth to the other and you wouldn't hear anything bad about my son." Police said departmental charges against Chell, who has fired his gun twice before, appear unlikely.

Uh, I believe the people your son robbed and assaulted would beg to differ.

I guess the end of the earth doesn't include New York City!

Sounds like she believes the Earth is flat.

Flat and connected to the other continents, you know, like Pangea.
