I guess that if you give an inspector $50, it's a bribe. Give $500,000 and it's a "settlement". This really sucks: convicted felons, according to the New York State laws, cannot have a liquor license. Period. Leona Helmsley (damn her ice-cold soul) and now the Ciprianis show that there really IS a double standard, and it's called money!

Such bullshit. The Ciprianis are admitted felons. And there are no real repercussions for their felonious behavior. If the SLA is willing to accept what is basically a bribe, why not ask for $20 Million?

Well, I'm just STUNNED that restaurant owners who can afford a $500k bribe "settlement" get their way with the SLA.
