EVENT: It's Union Hall's turn to bring music, and more, to the bridge. As part of the Music at the Bridge series the venue invites you to enjoy "an evening of live music and comedy" with their very own Secret Science Club event in addition to live sets by the French Kicks, Headlights, Tiny Masters of Today. The night is hosted by comedian Dave Hill, and as usual "Brooklyn Brewery sells beer, RICE sells yummy food."

MOVIE: Yesterday we talked to the founder of Rooftop Films, who noted tonight's event, a free screening at the north end of Central Park. The movie is called “Trouble the Water” (watch the trailer here), and is a "Sundance Award Winning documentary about people in the 9th Ward of New Orleans who filmed their own survival of Hurricane Katrina." Stick around for live music after the screening.

DANCE: Not that you would typically go to Libation, but if your dance moves could use some help the club is bringing in Nicole Guidetti for some free lessons all month, starting tonight. Guidetti has danced back-up for Gwen Stefani, Beyonce and Smash Mouth (who apparently had dancers!), and will school you in what you need to know should you ever feel the need to dance to Walkin' on the Sun. Now, consider this a warning for what you might be in for.
7 p.m. // Libation [137 Ludlow St] // Free
THEATER: Finally back from London, Times critic Ben Brantley has at last shut up about all the shows on the other side of the pond that most of us will never get to see. And his long review of A.R. Gurney's Buffalo Gal is pretty favorable. A comedy about a fading screen star who returns to her hometown of Buffalo to star in Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard, Brantley says it "glows with a rueful affection that makes it impossible to dislike. A spirit of quiet resignation pervades Buffalo Gal, an acceptance that the worlds its creator knows and loves best are evaporating even as he portrays them." – John Del Signore
