<description>&lt;p&gt;ah, i didn&apos;t realize that.  i thought it was based on some kind of aerial survey!  then indeed, they should contact the neighborhood groups in the south brooklyn neighborhoods-- because i think there are blocks in bay ridge, flatlands, dyker heights, ditmas park, etc. etc-- that would easily win. &lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;JD- The blocks have to enter the contest in order to be considered for the prize. I live in Carroll Gardens and there are several blocks that look like forests with all of the greenery. Maybe the organizers should get more neighborhoods to participate.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;i think it&apos;s a little suspicious how the winners so often come from brownstone brooklyn, when so many of the neighborhoods south and east brooklyn seem to be really green.  like ditmas park-- an average block there has got to be more green than the best block in park slope, right?&lt;/p&gt;</description>
