Police Arrest Driver in Fatal Grand Central Parkway Crash

2008_08_gcpcrash.jpgThis morning, two people were killed when a car crashed into their Acura. WCBS 2 reported the car "was split in half" with "mangled debris scattered all over the road, and the passengers were killed immediately. The driver of the other car, a Mercedes, was taken to the hospital. Now, WNBC says the driver has been arrested and charges are pending.

Take note of the fact that the occupant of the larger/heavier vehicle fared better in the collision. Think about that the next time you shoot dirty looks at your neighbor loading up the SUV with their loved ones. Physics, it's not just a good idea; it's the law.
