If the NJ Attorney General really wanted to get out of this ticket she could have gone to my website www.njpleabargain.com and she could have avoided the four points. It is likely that she wanted to avoid any appearance of impropriety so she simply paid the ticket. I have appeared in North Brunswick Municipal Court on numerous and it is commonplace to have four point speeding tickets amended to zero points.

#14 has a point. I've seen hotter ADAs but not an AG this smokin'. I have a plan to convert her little Honda to run on excess lubricant and give her the freedom and energy independence to speed down Route 1 forever.

This IS news because the unlike former NJ Attorney General Zulima Farber, Millgram didn't use her authority for getting out of the ticket.

I drive Route 1 all the time, she must have been South of New Brunswick. If she were North of it the only way she could have possibly been speeding was if she were flying all over the shoulder. For about 10 miles north of New Brunswick you are lucky to get above 5mph due to the dead stop traffic that persists just about 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I don't know how driving a 94 Honda proves your integrity. Frugality perhaps, but integrity?

Being very familiar with that part of Route 1, doing 70mph is pretty average. It's actually even one of those "safe corridors" where fines are doubled. People drive like bats out of hell there (I was one of them while I was a student at Rutgers) but you rarely (never) saw cops doing anything about it.
This is a great story- a public servant who takes responsibility for once.

So what? She got a speeding ticket. It's not liked she mowed down a pedestrian or something. You have to give her points for not pulling a "Do you know who I am" with the officer.

I would like to read real-life stats on how fast people drive. It's one of those weird categories where everybody knows the rule and we collectively break it. There's a sense that as long as you aren't speeding more flagrantly than the next guy it's fine.

If its because she took the responsibility then its fine,
Anyway, $139 for going 38% above the limit speed? i think is not that much money. How many point do you start with? (she has lost 4)

yes, it's news. it isn't common for a government employee to take some responsibility for something they did wrong. it's rare, so it's news.

(plus she's not bad looking)

The Star-Ledger noted that Senate President Richard Codey said, "The fact that the attorney general drives a '94 Honda proves without question she is a woman of great integrity and frugality."

...or that public servants are grossly underpaid.
