  • From the Gothamist Newsmap: An unusual trauma on 2nd St in Queens, a baby fell from a window on Elliot Place in the Bronx, and an overturned vehicle on the West Side Highway near 96th St.
  • A former detective was sentenced to 3 1/2 years for forcing a teenage girl into prostitution.
  • Watch what you eat? Eater finds a little tiny snail in its salad--or it was the special "raw escargot" salad.
  • An accountant pleaded guilty to embezzling $2.8 million from Tishman Construction. He will pay about $1.5 million in restitution (he used some on a down payment and plastic surgeons!).
  • West Nile time: The Department of Health will spray Staten Island and parts of Queens and the Bronx with larvicide tomorrow.
  • Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz met two of Hugh Hefner's girlfriends (apparently Markowitz's wife is a fan of their E! show!).
  • And we're telling you for the last time: The next block of Imax tickets for The Dark Knight goes on sale on Fandango around 3 p.m. this afternoon.
