#5 - I've never been robbed cause when I see a group of dudes that are young and dark I scoot to the next street because I know what'll happen if I stay on the same street. Sure, they most likely might not rob me but that one time you are wrong, it's gonna hurt. I was curiously threatened with stabbing more than anything most of the time but for those occassions I just stood my ground and said "stab me motherfucker!" with a crazed look in my face and a ready to fight look and the attacker wisely turned tail. I was also threatened with getting shot once but that's when I turned tail and ran the fuck out of there.

@ drewo: agreed, time of day would be quite enlightening. I am in Riverside Park quite a bit, as far north as 116th, and it's always felt pretty safe. Hope they catch the little criminals.

You know, I'm no criminologist, but if tingo was riding all ten bikes at the same time, it would have made it extremely difficult to deal with taking a cellphone movie and pictures, all while calling 911 at the same time. I've ridden two at a time, and that's difficult enough. Did you even consider that, or do I have to explain everything around here? Even though, as I said, I'm not a criminologist. Not officially. Not yet.

Babyhitler, you're an idiot who's obviously never been robbed. You expect people who are robbing you to announce that they're going to rob you, wait for you make a phone call, and politely hang around while the cops come? It doesn't work that way. First of all, while you're getting robbed YOU'RE IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING ROBBED. These things don't happen slowly and calmly and logically. They surprise you, sometimes hit you, and then take what they're looking for. You can fight back, but with five guys, you're looking at getting beaten. And at the end of it, they've taken your cellphone. You don't get a chance to make a phone call and wait on hold.

#2 - how the fuck do you have ten bikes stolen from you? In this day in age with cellphones and such I don't understand how people can get still get robbed. Just cellphone camera their asses and then yell "rape!" or call the cops on your cellphone. people need classes on how to use their cellphone in a crisis or something. If enough people started using their cellphones to report crimes then this will have been a thing of the past.
