Video: Sam the Cooking Guy Lashes Out at Kathie Lee

Sam the Cooking Guy -- who boasts on his website that "with no fancy equipment and by speaking English instead of ‘chef-speak,'" he's "sort of the everyman of television cooking" -- may want to tone down the "regular guy" routine next time he's on The Today Show. Which isn't going to happen anytime soon. Eater points out that his most recent appearance did not go well.

Well, it's about time somebody said something. Watch the entire awkward segment here.

I agree with food guy. I can't stand all the over talking, particularly where there is limited time. The hostesses think they are Jerry Seinfeld, but they're not.

Sam the CG just said what we were all thinking. Shut the F up!

Kathie Lee is incredibly devious and has ways of getting even: Look out, Sam the Cooking Guy! That said, Booyah to him and his amazingly ordinary and pedestrian recipes!

I think it's long past time somebody told Kathie Lee to shut up. About the only person more deserving would be Rachael Ray.

dude... NBC really needs to rethink that whole 4th hour of the today show... I've started to change my channel... they're not even OK background noise...

Sam the Cooking Guy rocks! He used to have a show on NYC channel 25 on Wednesdays, and it's better than most Food Network shows.

Can you imagine if he tried to do a cooking segment on The View? The incessant clucking and carrying on of those four yentas would have given him an aneurism. It makes ME want to hand in my uterus.

Stop with these constant, distracting comments! I need to concentrate on my salad.

    "hard-hitting" news?

    There is no such thing.

Whenever a bigger better superlative adjective comes into popular (and constant) usage, you can be certain the underlying content or meaning has evaporated, or soon will.

Used constantly and without consideration the superlative becomes a bland knee-jerk modifier permanently bound the word that follows.

    (E.g - Draconian)

Those two women were busy clucking away like a pair of hysterical chickens! I don't blame him! They are really annoying!

#1, this is a damn blog. Go to cnn.com for hard-hitting news. How can you bitch about something that's free, that you don't HAVE to read?

I am waiting for her to snap on air. We all know it is going to happen and when it does it will make some good television.

  • Rocknrope

When will people realize this is not a pure "news" site?

  • JRod5417

It's not news, it's infotainment. And awesomely awkward too.

  • Gothamist_Cynic
