Let's draw up a list of the kinds of people we'd like the police to beat. Then we could all have that self-satisfied grin as the NYPD basically pounds the crap out of everyone. They are cops, not judges, juries and executioners. If those boys took a beating they'd sue...and they'd probably win more money than that bicyclist, that's how screwed up the justice system is.

Kojak, most violent crime where the perp and victims don't know each other, happens because the victims were unable or unwilling to defend themselves from their attackers.

If the criminals knew their next potential mark would blast them to hell, most violent crime would cease.

The tourists were from Spain. They're used to this kind of shit. In parts of Spain you have to hide everything you're carrying in your underwear and then you still have to fight off packs of thieving kids and pickpockets, and it's normal to do so with your fists without fear of the bad guys escalating it and shooting you in the head. The average New Yorker or even average tourist would just give up the goods, having no real experience dealing with this kind of thing and in fear that the little punks might be packing.

Kudos to the cops though for catching them, and I hope they can do so again next week after the little pricks have been released and do the same thing to someone else.

These young animals need to be put down because we all know it's inevitable that they'd otherwise kill/rape someone eventually.

This is the same logic behind the death penalty, and that doesn't work too well either.

The problem is that criminals don't think about the consequences before they break the law, and if they do, they don't care or They know they can get away with it.
