THEATER: Did you know that avant-garde theater maker Richard Foreman started out writing “normal” plays in the ‘60s, replete such bourgeois vulgarities as narrative and characters? Well, it’s true, and longtime indie theater impresario Ian W. Hill has gotten his hands on one of them for a production at The Brick Theater. (Hill first presented it in ’99 at Foreman’s suggestion.) Called Harry in Love: A Manic Vaudeville, the “boulevard comedy” concerns Harry Rosenfeld, “a big, neurotic, unnerved and unnerving man who believes his wife, Hilda, is planning to cheat on him (and he seems to be right). His response: drug her coffee and keep her knocked out until her paramour goes away.” – John Del Signore
