"Authorities found hundreds of sick and malnourished animals, including a ram, sheep, dogs, chicken, rabbits, cats, guinea hens and more, from a Rockland County home"

What does finding something from something else mean?

And when bars do employ men, they "audition" them physically. I had a friend in L.A. working at a bar who was told that he "had to have six pack abs within a month" or he'd be let go. And it wasn't even a gay bar (although it was totally gay).

Good for him, but if that guy can sue for gender discrimination (because the restaurant only wanted "ladies" for hostesses), then all the unattractive ladies should sue in turn for "looks discrimination." It is a well known fact that restaurants looking for hostesses are actually looking for models.

Years ago (when I was a fresher, younger thing) I was hired by both the Coffee Shop and Restaurant "44" practically before my interview, based on my resume which stated that I was a model (an old, has-been model, actually, but what other kind applies for a hostess job?), and had zero -- ZILCH -- experience. I am sure they turned down a lot of perfectly qualified women (and men) just based on their looks and/or weight. You have to be willing and able to wear a size 2 little black dress and high heels to be a hostess in any of the swankier places. (And willing and able to put up with the nonstop sexual harassment on the part of the managers).

Of course, I showed up for my interview in full make-up, contacts, a mini-dress and heels. But once I had the run of the place, I started wearing my glasses, less makeup, and comfortable but still dressy clothes and shoes! And they couldn't do a thing about it except bitch ("You look better when you're not wearing your glasses." "Oh yeah? well YOU look better when I'm not wearing my glasses.), till I was good and ready to quit (once I'd made enough to buy a laptop for school!) Ha!
