With scuttlebutt suggesting Senator Barack Obama is unlikely to pick Senator Hillary Clinton as his running mate, Clinton's good friend Governor Jon Corzine said this morning that Clinton would be a "very strong" vice president. "Could she be president? Absolutely. Is she going to add something to the ticket? Yes." The Star-Ledger reports that Corzine, speaking on MSNBC, also thinks that Senator Joe Biden (Del.) is good choice. Biden, Senator Evan Bayh (Ind.) and Virgina Governor Tim Kaine are reportedly on Obama's VP shortlist. Senator John McCain's VP shortlist reportedly has former Massachusetts governor MItt Romney, former Rep. Rob Portman (Ohio), Minnesota Governor Pawlenty, and former Homeland Security secretary Tom Ridge.

ha- guess Edwards is out
Damn Corzine... Get off her dick
Is he going to pay off her campaign debt?
obama/biden vs magoo 'n plenty
democratic landslide
#1 - Edwards is out due to his looming affair scandal, and more importantly, b/c his resume is similar to Obama's in that they lack experience in the same areas.
Corzine should concentrate on cleaning up the financial mess in NJ before he dictate what's best for the country. He's the same schmuck that stated he was against congestion pricing b/c NJ Transit isn't fit to carry more commuters.
Further, Joe Biden is an obnoxious loudmouth that loves to hear himself talk (or yell). If Obama is serious about winning, he should steer clear of Biden.
Finally, how do Bayh or Kaine compliment Obama when they also lack foreign affair experience?
I guess Corzine's non seat belt wearing car crash knocked him out of the VP race. I thought he had promise.
This is such a non-story. Corzine was on MSNBC and someone asked him about Hillary. Of course he's going to say something positive.
As to the VP pick, I read an interesting argument the other day that said Obama shouldn't pick a foreign-policy type, because that would be an admission that Obama lacks something.
It's obvious Corzine must still have some head trauma from his car accident.
Obama's only four points ahead of McCain in the polls and he's going to double down on his "Change" theme with an uncertain electorate? He chooses Kaine, he loses. Hillary could be his only way in, so whore-up, Barack.
