Boy, do I have egg on my face. I remembered that second quake in '01 as soon as I hit "Post." D'oh. But the WTC collapsing actually set off seismometers in the NYC area, too. But I think the magnitude was sub-2.

Umm, that "2.6 magnitude tremor" was the collapsing of the WTC on 9/11.

I remember the one from 2001. Scared the shit out of me. I was asleep at the time, woke me up, but I remember thinking that the house was being electrocuted. The cats were scared to death as well.

My friend in LA texted me about it and said it was scary, but he's from Philly and not used to that sort of thing.
