Why Man Was Driving Around with Wife on Roof of Car

It turns out that Diamond Mircea and his wife Monica had gotten into a fight that culminated in her climbing on top of her husband's car's roof in an attempt to stop him from leaving. But Mircea kept driving, and Monica Mircea was still on the roof, per WNBC, "for a short distance before she fell on the pavement and suffered a head injury." Mircea was charged with DWI an vehicular assault (authorities don't think he purposefully tried to throw her off the car). His lawyer said, "There's a completely different version" that he would tell in court today. The couple has a young child, who is staying with relatives.
