No More Stoop on the Sex Tour
Well Sex and the City fans, any hopes you had of sitting on the Carrie Bradshaw's stoop are now being dashed by the people who really live in there. The Villager reports that "Last week, residents won a reprieve, when, on July 15, the largest of the tour operators, On Location Tours, announced it would take Perry St. off its route." Sure, your MySpace, Flickr and Facebook photo albums are going to be an utter embarrassment if you're lacking the carefully posed shot of you and your best gal pals sitting on the 66 Perry Street steps, but wipe those tears, your mascara is running -- and besides, there's plenty of time for photo ops while waiting on line outside Magnolia Bakery! Maybe we're one step (or stoop) closer to ending the obnoxious attraction of these deluded narcissists to areas outside their protective pen in Times Square?
Do these people even boost the city's economy that much? They rent rooms at the Econo Lodge on 47th, ride around for two days straight on tour busses, wander through Bloomingdales and Soho boutiques rifling through dresses they're not willing to pay for, and maybe treating themselves to one upscale dinner outside of frequenting The Olive Garden and Applebees.

those poor homeowners, getting middle america and immigrant dream trash at their stoop day and night.
how much flip flops and college sweats can one tolerate. I'm serious, too.
I feel for the homeowners, not only do they get this crap, they get film crews constantly filming their block. I think there's a moratorium on it though.

At least they are not smoking blunts on that stoop, as they are on mine.
