ART: "New York Adorned, in collaboration with White Box, is proud to present a captivating performance event and art exhibit. This exhibition is part of the White Box 6 Feet Under Summer Festival. During an exciting two hour opening, the tattoo artists of New York Adorned will create one-of-a-kind paintings. Each one of the twelve artists will work on an identical, larger than life print of a clear skinned nude by street life photographer Patrick O'Dell. The evening is orchestrated by New York Adorned founder Lori Leven."

6 to 8 p.m. // White Box [525 W 26th St] // Free

072408bnw.jpgTHEATER: There is a 30% chance of showers tonight, but with any luck Brave New World Repertory Theatre will have a brave dry world for their one-night-only free performance of Fahrenheit 451 at the Prospect Park Bandshell. This adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s dystopian 1953 science fiction novel was penned by the author himself in the ‘70s. Rain or shine, the company promises to transform the Bandshell tonight with “a dynamic projection design, coupled with the forceful performances for which Brave New World is rightfully known.” (This is the same group that made a splash performing To Kill a Mockingbird on the front porches of a Ditmas Park street in 2005.) – John Del Signore

8 p.m. // Celebrate Brooklyn! at the Prospect Park Bandshell [Prospect Park West at 9th Street] // Free

MUSIC: The Spinto Band and The Sin City Band are at Union Hall tonight. The former is on night two of their four night residency at the venue, and you most likely remember their catchy tune "Oh Mandy" circa 2005 (video here).

7:30 p.m. // Union Hall [702 Union St, Park Slope] // $10

COMEDY: College Humor is offline and Live tonight! The show claims that "our favorite College Humor all-stars have escaped from the Internet and they're coming to the UCB Theatre with some of the city's best stand-up comedians." Join Pete Holmes, Jacqueline Novak and Christian Finnegan for the evening of shenanigans.

9:30 p.m. // UCB Theater [307 W 26th St] // $5, stand-by tickets available
