http://vline.publictheater.org:8080/account/ lanciano: this year, they started a virtual line; you sign in at some point in the morning of they day you want to go, and they announce who got tickets for that night's show from the virtual line after one o'clock. you have to pick up your tickets by 30 minutes before the show starts or they're taken for the stand-by line, but you don't have to wait in the morning at all. not sure how many they give away this way for each performance, but I was able to get Hamlet tickets this way and got my Hair tickets for tonight this way as well.

I would love to see Hair again, but this just seems to be too much of a hassle. How the hell is can any working stiff get around to get vouchers between 1-3PM? And I can't see myself standing on line for 5 hours in Central Park anymore.
