Adam Sullivan Drops Out of Race to Oust Nadler

Adam Sullivan had big plans to take down Congressman Jerry Nadler, who, as chairman of the House Subcommittee on the Constitution, refuses to hold hearings to investigate the impeachment of President Bush. Last month Sullivan, a director and actor, announced his bid to oust the incumbent, and impeachment activists began rallying to the cause. Just one problem – Sullivan had registered as a Democrat far too late to run in November. He formally quit the race today but still has Nadler in his crosshairs, saying, “His outright contempt for the process of impeachment makes him… complicit in our nation’s current suffering and the assaults on our freedoms.”

Duh, if you're gonna run as a Democrat, you should first be a Democrat. This guy's campaign was a joke from the start. His supporters are a joke as well.

The Loony Left lives!

The joke is that people think that Nadler is a progressive who cares "passionately" about the constitution and the rights of his constituents. What Nadler cares about is his job only. To Nadler our constitutional rights are something to be bartered for party favors. Nadler is the chair of the House Judiciary subcommitte on The Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. Our basic rights have been under assault by the Bush-Cheney administration and all Nadler cares about is pleasing Nancy Pelosi. Nadler has failed miserably in his position as a protector of our rights, and that is no joke. At this time in our history we need men of principle not weak functionaries like Jerrold Nadler.

It all comes down to execution people, and obviously Sullivan and his people can talk the talk but can't walk the walk. That's why idealists can't get anything done except yelling and screaming.
