This stuff will go on and continue to rile others until the memorial is finished. Then, all of the shrill voices will soften into a gauzy, teary eyed admiration of their "courage and quiet elegance" in mourning their dead...at the appropriate venue.

People need to grieve? Go to a cemetary. Go to a church. Go to Fresh Kills if you're convinced the city hasn't sifted for remains enough times. Heck, go to a psychiatrist. It's not normal or healthy to keep going back to the place where your loved one died.
