  • At the Patagonia stores on the UWS and in Soho, you can vote on which environmental advocacy groups should get $4,000 grants.
  • And the 19-year-old who wore a 6-foot-tall penis costume at a Saratoga Springs high school graduation was sentenced to 24 hours of community service, paying court fees and apologizing to the city in a local newspaper.

That suicide picture is amazing. I've always heard that bodies look horrid when they land - eyeballs popping out of skulls, jaw's torn off, etc. I guess she was the exception.

She looks very peaceful, not what I'd expect after falling 86 floors.

She also dressed well for her suicide, delicate white gloves and all.

That photo is iconic and also disturbing because it sends this message that if you jump to your death, the result will be as comely and peaceful-looking as her death. People considering jumping should see what usually happens as described above. Why put anyone else through that?
