So you're saying they were shot? What exactly are you getting at? So they get arrested. Like criminals really think long and hard about the consequences of their actions. Besides, beating up a cop would earn you some respect in prison as well as some street cred.

He was foolish to identify himself anyway. Thugs don't fear or respect cops. He obviously wasn't carrying his gun with him, so it was basically giving them a chance to beat on a cop without worrying about getting shot, especially since they outnumbered him.

Can't they throw on tougher charges? He did assault a police officer after the cop identified himself.

Some people wonder why some cops shoot first and ask questions later. This cop with out with his girl and just having a good time and I think any guy would intervene with someone bothering his girl.
