Dealer's Claim: Clemens Received HGH by Mail

2008_07_clemenssi.jpgThe Roger Clemens steroid scandal now has a parcel post element: Sources tell the Daily News a confessed drug dealer has receipts showing he sent something to Clemens' home in Texas.

Per the News, dealer Kirk Radomski apparently "discovered shipping receipts for a package of two kits of human growth hormone that he sent in late 2002 or 2003 to Clemens...the timing of the shipment to Clemens' home coincides roughly with the dates when Clemens' wife, Debbie, used human growth hormone in preparation for her participation in a pictorial in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue."

The former Yankees pitcher is under investigation for perjury, claiming he did not use human growth hormones, instead saying his wife did, but other evidence suggests otherwise. Clemens sued his former trainer Brian McNamee for defamation, but McNamee's lawyer has dug up dirt on Clemens, such as an affair with country singer Mindy McCready. Of Radomski's mailing receipts, McNamee's lawyer told the News, "I don't think there's any question of its validity. It confirms the story Brian described on the occasion when he was asked to inject Debbie and Clemens presented him with the HGH."
