What is it with Jacksons and Jews? Remember Jesse Jackson's comment about "Hymietown" comment way back when?

I'd say it has more to do with Jacksons who shoot their mouths off with stupid crap. See Jesse's recent Obama comments, and Reggie pretty much throughout the 1977 baseball season.

In a biog years ago, he said when he was is high school, if he needed money he took it from the Jewish kids. I guess that playing field leveled.

"Reggie Jackson says he doesn't have anything against Jewish people, after a NY Post photograph overheard him asking an artist if he's Jewish"

Then the photograph related the story somehow?

lol@commentor 1 confusing reggie jackson with jessie jackson.

Matty, I'm afraid it's you who is confused.

How in the hell did Jessie Jackson even come into this conversation?

Some of you fuckheads are unbelievable.

The only "fuckheads" around here are the ones who don't know that two separate famous Jacksons have made questionable statements about Jews over the years. Said "fuckheads" immediately reach for the biggest words in their vocabulary, i.e. "fuckheads." And BTW, it's Jesse, not Jessie, genius. Unbelievable is indeed the operative word here.

Where is that picture from? I know it's NY, but nothing that I recognize... I guess UWS, but I usually go past there on the subway...

oh wait i was the one who was confused. sorry.

I agree. Down with Samuel L. Jackson's abhorrent racism!

If you want to try to get clever about it, you might be interested to know that there was also another well-known Jackson who has problems with Jews. Don't forget Michael, who called Jews "leeches" a few years ago and even before that was known to be anti-Semitic.

#10, it looks like the area around W.49th St. Looks like The Orion going up.

It's taken from around 8th & 34th looking Northwest. I live in the Zebra building on the right. The Orion is just off the picture to the right of it. Most of these buildings are on W 42nd. I'd love to find a high resolution version of it! Great unstereotypical NY shot

Thanks, 7Towers and I agree, this is a great view you don't usually get. Kudos to the photog.
