This seems silly. Mobil is cleaning up the area already. And this is not really a superfund site, it's more like a superfund community. There is all sorts of infrastructure above this stuff and the oil is all over the place.

He's complaining about the 2026 date, then he says that if the EPA takes over it will approximately take til 2021. Maybe. On average. Approximately. uhuh uhuh uhuh. I feel MUCH better when people start throwing out pie in the sky dates, like Iraq, like McCain balancing the budget by 2013, like reducing our carbon emissions sometime in the next decade and a half.

This is not a simple cleanup. All you can do is drill wells and try and flush this stuff out. Then drill some more and try again. Why do our tax dollars need to make another assessment of this place?

Sounds like we should drill in Queens rather than in ANWAR.

Did I just read babyhitler accusing others of "post adolescent arrested development"? Oh, the irony.

I wrote months ago that the oil could be worth a lot of money if they could only get it out. But it's not "the answer to our oil crisis." It's about two hours worth of oil when feeding the gluttonous appetite of the US of A.

At $147 per barrel, you'd expect Bush to lick this site clean.

Toxic Brooklyn for the Hipsters. I'd say it's a good thing. With all the pollution those hipsters will get sterilized and they can live their dreams in post adolescent arrested development without ever having the responsibility of the worst std: babies.
