djwerdna, you think you know, but you have no idea. ^_^
i went two years ago and have talked about it incessantly ever since and am going back tonight. when i first went, i was totally like, "this is going to be nothing, a hug, whatever" and then i had my mind blown. blown. seriously. i am a smart, educated, no bullshit type person and amma (as she is called) operates on another level. there's parts of it that are a little out there, but the hug is nothing short of magical and well worth the wait.

Verizon and Roadrunner didn't remove child porn newsgroups. Roadrunner removed ALL newsgroups and Verizon and Sprint all binaries newsgroups. All ISPs have wanted to be rid of binaries newsgroups, claiming limited interest and excessive bandwidth usage. Roadrunner also is owned by Time Warner, so they wanted to get rid of their own content being pirated. Cuomo just gave them the excuse to finally dump Usenet. Premium NSPs are lining up to provide special plans to customers of these ISPs, so their bandwidth usage isn't going down at all.

Hug-a-thon? Unconditional love? How does being embraced by a complete stranger after waiting in line to be embraced show make someone feel unconditional love? 27 million people could have been doing something more worthwhile.
