Police Hope For Tips in Fatal Bed-Stuy Shooting
Even though around 200 people attended the Brooklyn barbecue where one person was killed and four people were injured in gun fire, the Post reports there has been little or no cooperation from witnesses. More chillingly, it's suggested that the fatality, 21-year-old college student Zeanie White, may have been used as a "human shield" by another shooting victim who may have been the real target. Police are offering $12,000 for information leading to an arrest and successful conviction; they urge people to call Crimestoppers at 800-577-TIPS.

Cops need a tip? Here's a tip, NYPD -- look for a black guy, around 17-21, high school dropout, father in prison, calls his mom by her first name and his grandmother mom, has 44 prior arrests totaling around 90 days in jail, walks with his pants down around his knees, baseball cap at a 30 degree angle, maybe a gold tooth or two, and his friends call him some kind of street name with a hyphen in it. And don't bother looking him up by voter registration rolls or tax receipts. His birth certificate and his arrest sheet, that's all you'll have to know that he's alive.
