Hampton Jitney Gets Served by Book

2008_07_jitney.jpgThe Hampton Jitney's management became upset when it realizes a book it was helping promote --The Hampton Dictionary--actually called the bus to the Hamptons a "cattle car" and "bus for cidiots" (idiots from the city). Publishers Weekly says the dictionary's publisher paid Hampton Jitney for the book to be passed out with other free products to bus passengers, but now Hampton Jitney refunded the money. The book's publisher pointed out, "We sent them content in advance."

what they shound talk about is:

The disabled one having its passengers picked up by another one on 495 westbound last wednesday

the disabled one on route 48 in Southold on Sunday

and the swerving one on route 25 last friday

and the totally bizarre one trying to do a u-turn on route 48 last week, must have realized they were on the North Fork, not the richy-assed south one.

Really? "Cidiots", huh? Boy, those Long Islanders are a clever bunch.
