Earthquake Survivor Panda Gives Birth to Twins

2008_07_panda.jpgSome cute news: A panda who survived the May earthquake in Sichuan has now given birth to twins. Panda Guo Guo was relocated from the Wolong panda research center to another nearby city and was the first panda to give birth this year. While staffers could weigh the elder of the twins (6 ounces), the other was left unweighed because Guo Guo was cuddling it--aww!

Huama now is very well in Bifengxia Panda Base. Raising in one of the panda Enclosures in Baixiongping area, Bifengxia, Ya'an, Sichuan, China. Huamei was moved to Bifengxia after China Wenchuan Earthquake took in 2008.

And many americans held her when she was a tiny baby at the San Diego Zoo.

Everyone knows Pandas are some of the cutest animals around. And that their newborns are uglier than baby rats.

  • schadenfreudian mensch

Yea, I would like to see you guys try carrying your rugrats with just paws and see how far you get doing that.

Like babies are any cuter when they are born... all shriveled and pink.

But I do agree, it looks more like the panda is eating seafood than carrying its young.

  • Think2wice

That may be the scariest picture of a panda.
