Damn-- missed this show. Seen SY a bunch of times and the one time I decide to skip, they play all their best songs -- from when their albums were actually good.

The Feelies are a great band. Their album "Crazy Rhythms" is a masterpiece. Half the songs on that album are featured in the film Smithereens, which is an amazing time capsule of New York in the early '80s: the Peppermint Club, Pac-Man, Cafe Orlin, ESG, Gina Harlow Cutthroats, skinny ties, St. Mark's Place, poor kids, punkers, and a young Richard Hell as a rockstar, and a Chris Noth as a cross-dressing prostitute.

I saw Sonic Youth live once. I think someone needs to explain the difference between feedback and edgy rock to them. There's a point where it just gets boring..
