A sommelier at French restaurant La Grenouille is lucky he didn’t get his eye shot out by a trio of BB gun wielding muggers on the Upper East Side. The Post reports that 34-year-old Eric Delcros was walking on East 81st Street and York Avenue around 12:45 a.m. on June 2nd [it was actually July 2nd] when three teens pointed their pellet guns at the professional oenophile and relieved him of his iPhone, wallet and $160. Delcros tells the Post, "I don't say nothing, ever. You don't want to provoke them." Cops later rounded up two of the li'l gangstas on robbery charges.

Pellet guns?
You'll shoot your eye out, kid.
All these aspiring young hoodlums popping up and no organized rackets left to channel their talents into a serious criminal career. Sad.
Any description of the perps?
I live near 79th and York Ave and that area is COVERED with doormen who are always outside, whatever the weather. I find it hard to believe anyone would actually want to mug someone in broad daylight in front of witnesses-- brazen!!!
did the guns have "replica" stamped on the slides?
@AnonEMouse

Ummm you might want to check on your reading comprehension again. 12:45 a.m. might be considered "day" but I doubt there's much "light" on the street at that time.
