070708bbgun.JPGA sommelier at French restaurant La Grenouille is lucky he didn’t get his eye shot out by a trio of BB gun wielding muggers on the Upper East Side. The Post reports that 34-year-old Eric Delcros was walking on East 81st Street and York Avenue around 12:45 a.m. on June 2nd [it was actually July 2nd] when three teens pointed their pellet guns at the professional oenophile and relieved him of his iPhone, wallet and $160. Pellet guns?
You'll shoot your eye out, kid.

All these aspiring young hoodlums popping up and no organized rackets left to channel their talents into a serious criminal career. Sad.

Any description of the perps?

I live near 79th and York Ave and that area is COVERED with doormen who are always outside, whatever the weather. I find it hard to believe anyone would actually want to mug someone in broad daylight in front of witnesses-- brazen!!!

did the guns have "replica" stamped on the slides?

@AnonEMouse

"I find it hard to believe anyone would actually want to mug someone in broad daylight."

Ummm you might want to check on your reading comprehension again. 12:45 a.m. might be considered "day" but I doubt there's much "light" on the street at that time.
