THEATER: Death at Film Forum is one of a handful of shows to be extended past the end of the Brick Theater’s Film Festival: A Theater Festival; the final performance is tonight. The inspired satire concerns “four hip, overweening cinephiles who compete in the cruelest of cruelties: an Indie Film-off with one auteur left standing.” Martin Denton’s review notes that Death at Film Forum is “as densely layered as the work of the film auteurs it trades in—is very complicated and also—despite the fact that it's one of the funniest scripts I've seen all year—very serious.” Watch a YouTube preview here. – John Del Signore
