Katie Holmes Broadway Debut Not a Hot Ticket

070308katie.jpgThe addition of Katie Holmes to the cast of the upcoming production of All My Sons has done zilch to boost advance ticket sales, according to the Post. "I bought 1,000 tickets to the show," says one broker. "I still have them." Another wonders, "Where are all the Scientologists? Don't they want to see her?" Sure they do, but who has money left for theater after all those expensive classes on the way to OT VIII? The Post also has it that the cast has been forced to sign confidentiality agreements to keep them from blabbing about Holmes’s behavior to evil SPs.

"People aren't shelling out $110 for a play anymore," says a broker. "It doesn't matter who's in it."

so true. i don't care who is in it, there is no way i'm paying that much for a play. i bought premium seats for wicked. but a play? no way.

Re the contrast between the cruise wives box office power as the NYPost notes: obviously the difference is that kidman has some actual talent. Holmes, not really.

The fact that she's going from that AWFUL "stealing money from the federal reserve" movie to Broadway is stranger than fiction.

Also what a pain in the ass to work with these Scientologists. i wonder if katie is regretting hooking up with TC at all. all the $$ and fame in the world would not be worth dealing with that madness.

well on that note, there is outdoor drinking to be done!

    L. Ron Hubbard is in the theater every night, you just can't see him.
