  • Today on the Gothamist Newsmap: a shooting on 119th Ave. and 153rd St. in Queens, an abduction on East 174th St. and Southern Blvd. in the Bronx, and a serious trauma at 120 Broadway in Manhattan.
  • The young woman who snapped pictures of boxer Oscar De La Hoya cavorting in women's lingerie was busted trying to leave the Macy's in Herald Square with lots of unpaid-for merchandise.

  • A Parks Dept. worker accosts a woman for taking playground pictures of her own daughter because other kids may be included in the frame.
  • It may not give its eater an extra life, but someone's found a way to prepare 1UP mushroom burgers that some may recognize from Mario Bros. games.

Gorgeous picture of the Hudson River!
