  • Tatum O'Neal pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct after being arrested for buying crack cocaine in June. The reduced charge is less than a misdemeanor and means the actress will have to attend two half-day drug meetings and pay a $95 fine.

  • The City is receptive to the idea of settling a wrongful death lawsuit brought by Nicole Paultre-Bell for the shooting death of her fiance´, Sean Bell, in a hail of police gunfire.
  • As long as a driver stops and says "whoops," it's not a crime to run over a child.
  • Former City Councilman Dennis Gallagher is considering a civil countersuit against the woman he pleaded guilty to sexually abusing.
