ART: It's the last night to check out the UNDERGROUND/OVERGROUND exhibit at Artbreak Gallery. The group show and collaborative exhibition features works by graffiti artist and photojournalists. "Individual works of underground art and photography will be displayed along with large-scale photographs by James and Karla Murray in which the photography has become giant environments for CERN, Billi Kid and Elisha Cook Jr. to install their work. From this unprecedented collaboration of various media and styles, exciting and powerful collages will emerge, further challenging what is perceived as underground / outsider art by the art community at large."

THEATER: The 5th Annual soloNOVA ARTS FESTIVAL ends Wednesday; tonight the festival of solo performance features two productions, Prometheus Bound/Prometeo Encadenado and Sally: MIA. The former, written and performed by Aravind Enrique Advanthaya, is “a show of languages, body and machine” that vows to “make theatre the ghost of your senses.” According to Fred Backus's review, “how exactly he manages to do this is rather hard to describe, both because the experience is so unique and because the very act of writing about it becomes a head-spinning proposition if one thinks about it too much; suffice to say it's one heck of a ride… Wow. Just go see it.” – John Del Signore

Mike Birbiglia is doing an hour-long set at Union Hall tonight for 7 bucks!
Underground/Overground show at Artbreak Gallery in Williamsburg has been extended 2 more weeks until July 15th. Open every day 1-7 PM except Tuesday.
