Because the original was so original. My idea for a Cloverfield prequel. It's the 80s. Hair bands take over New York City. Even CBGB is infected. Stiv Bators beats them all to a pulp. NYC is saved. In the end we learn that Cloverfield is really the resurrected and confused soul of Stiv Bators. The whole movie is shot on Pxl 2000.</p>
