Whine, whine, whine. I got the facts, you got gripes. (Bush's accomplishments as president? Name one, Idiot. I just listed a few of Silver's.) Why do you think silver has been 'the only guy running'? Because he is undefeatable. Newell is an asshole who is not campaigning, other than blogging away on streetsblog regularly. It's easy for you to complain on a blog. You are good at that. You believe what the editorial writer in the NYT and Post write. You are very impressionable. That is sad. What good have either of you done for your community recently?

Anybody could do "the good" that Sheldon Silver has done...without shaking Joe Bruno's hand, sucking Chuck Schumer's dick, and tying up the State's business for years because his "prostate hurts".

@thefacts: You could just as easily tout George W. Bush's accomplishments as president and overlook his dismantling of the Constitution. If you think that half the voters in this district know the first thing about Silver, you're the arrogant one. They've just been pulling the lever for the only guy running. Let's see how well your man does in September where there are other options.

Did you forget Silver's killing of the Jets Stadium (which would have been a traffic nightmare), his kibosh of the 20012 Olympics boondoggle by Doctoroff and Bloomberg, or his getting us a school near Ground Zero, or his support of the Loft Law and Rent Stabilization, or are you just another knee-jerk? Somehow you assume you know more than every other voter. It's very arrogant of you. Let's see how well your man, Newell, does in September. Let the voters decide. If you don't like it, go to Zimbabwe or STFU.

@thefacts: Yes, because political cronyism and blocking legislation beneficial to his district (i.e. congestion pricing, bus cameras) is considered "doing a good job." People like you are the reason why these bozos get reelected.
