The owners of Union Hall and Floyd, Jim Carden and Andy Templar, along with Union Hall booker Jack McFadden, have been hard at work on their new venue. Earlier this year we got a glimpse of The Bell House while the space was still pretty raw, this week Sam Horine took a look inside to see how things are coming along. Located on 7th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues in Brooklyn, the venue will be opening in mid-September or early October. Some more fun facts from McFadden:
- Capacity in the performance space is 333
- The stage is 28 feet wide by 17 feet deep
- There's a huge bar in the performance space
- The front lounge bar holds approximately 100 people and will have couches
- There are two entrances, one for the performance space, one for the lounge, with a foyer connecting them

strike this place of the list, strollers! are you f-in kidding me, hire a goddamn babysitter. they're your children, not accessories.
Shut Up Bro! I can't wait till this place is hoppin and poppin so we all can listen to some bland watered down beats by a group of nobodies.
NY has venue opening after venue opening. Color me jealous.
Another venue is opening, bringing you more choices of live entertainment and you people still complain like their building a WalMart or something. What the fuck is everyones problem around here? Union Hall books great acts by the way, so I'm happy.
Whoa, lighten up Francis! I'm sure they were just making a comment about how there are 5 million strollers in Park Slope, it's almost laughable. Anyway, have a heart, kids need to be exposed to good music too, especially so! There is more to life than "C is for cookie" (which I love btw, don't get me wrong).
Union Hall has the best music booker so I am really excited for this place to open.
