"Reagan Democrats" seems to be the refrain for the McCain campaign's feeble attempts at getting votes in the Northeast. Maybe they don't realize that Reagan was 25 years ago and things have changed (and that McCain is no Reagan). The McCain office is in Woodbridge, the same town that elected Jim McGreevey mayor. Three times.

My one hardcore Republican friend (who three years ago said he regretted voting for Bush but now denies it) bet me $100 bucks that McCain would win New York. Two weeks later he came back wanting to hedge his bet by placing another $100 on McCain winning the national election. So now I have two bets and look like I'll be in the black (so to speak) for $200.

What in the hell did she ever do for this State before she ran for President she and her Senatorship were hardly ever on the news in the biggest media center of the USA, New York. At least Chuck the duck Schumer likes issues and likes news TV PR. He still waves his hands toward the camera lens like they taught him (in 1976) to do. I hope we can do better than this.

Why would McCain waste time in NY? Or in NJ for that matter? Both states are Democratic plantations. But, I'm glad to see Hillary back at work, she always dreamed about while living in Illinois.

Hillary needs to take out Harry Reid, solidify her position by "silencing" her critics as well as her enemies, and send a pretty invitation to President Obama to have a nice lunch at the Capitol. Then Bill enters. He runs for Congress and wins, quickly dragging in some old cronies and lays down the gauntlet for Nancy Pelosi. She struggles with her makeup one day and he pounces. Bill and Hill control The Hill. Obama's cornered: suddenly he has to repay that $10 million debt.

Yes, Obama is using a position in the Senate as a springboard for his Presidential aspirations, but at least he didn't move to a hardcore blue state where he'd be guaranteed election for the sole purpose of doing so. That's because he didn't have to. Illinois was solidly blue by the time he ran for the Senate in 2002. It voted for Al Gore in 2000 by double digits.

Agree that Obama asking for people to donate to Hillary to help her with her "loans" is not his proudest moment. There are far more worthy causes for people to donate $10 million to than Hillary's failed campaign. She should just write another book and have Bill make a few more speeches. Or invest $100,000 in cattle futures... 10 months later, $10,000,000. I understand returns like that are possible.

I have to say, I'm no fan of Clinton (whether it be First Lady, Senator, or Prospective Candidate), but I have a newfound respect for her grace and humble demeanor as the race came to an end. I didn't feel this way when the continued campaigning after the numbers sealed her fate, but I'm beginning to feel this way now.
