Dump Truck That Caused Fatal Crash Was Unsafe

More unfortunate details about the dump truck that crashed into a parked Fung Wah bus, killing one person and injuring others: It turns out the truck was unsafe, per the Times, "three brake hoses that were severely deteriorated...inoperable brake lamps, a loose brake air reservoir, a loose brake chamber and a defective brake warning device." Great to know these vehicles are on the road.

I am constantly amazed by the idiots that run this city. As I walked from Sixth Avenue to Seventh Avenue on 23rd street where I saw seven of those total pieces of DOT shit fucks writing up tickets falling all over each other to get another write.

Why can't the city apply some of those stooges to doing something that is beneficial?

I look at some of those pieces of crap and question if they ever had motorized vehicles in their villages from whence they came.

The stony silence emanating from our elected officials when innocent New Yorkers are killed on our streets sends one message: "That's the price of living in New York City".

Or in other words, life is cheap here.

Both good points, but it sounds like it's the Department of Sanitation that should have had possession of that truck.

Wow Snoopy, excellent point! I hope the Department of Finance is up to speed on this as well.
