i call it echito -- east of chinatown. i've been doing a long term documentary on the whole street (eldridge from houston to division) for the past few years. block was just kids hanging around an enclave from gentrification.

The corner of Eldridge and Stanton has always been a trouble spot for the neighborhood-- the local precinct should really setup a 24/7 outpost there, the way they do in some other neighborhoods in the city.
