What Will Rudy Giuliani Do Next?

2008_06_rudyg1.jpgLast week, it was reported that Rudy Giuliani has been offering his support to Republicans up for re-election this fall, but with some strings attached, namely some money to help pay off his campaign debt. Now the Daily News reports Giuliani has "dished out $265,000 in PAC funds in recent months to keep his political options open."

While Giuliani has now loaned a total of $800,000 to satisfy presidential campaign debt, he's still paying various political consultants through his PAC, Solutions America. Though the fees were apparently mostly for closing his campaign and planning Giuliani's role as Republican cheerleader, a source says, "He is keeping all his options open." Which includes thinking about running for Governor of NY in 2010.

Giuliani has been showing his support for presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain, by way of criticizing Barack Obama's approach terrorism. Giuliani recently said, "I have been very concerned that the Democrats want to take a step back to the failed policies that treated terrorism solely as a law enforcement matter rather than a clear and present danger," but Giuliani said in 1994, guilty verdicts in the 1993 World bombing "demonstrates that New Yorkers won't meet violence with violence, but with a far greater weapon -- the law."

And Media Matters points out McCain once said, when Giuliani was his rival, "I don't think [9/11] translates, necessarily, into foreign policy or national security expertise," but he now says, "Mayor Giuliani, who is very well qualified on this issue [of terrorism], having been mayor of New York City at an incredible time in American history."

"what will rudyani do next?"
how about lose the last of his hair and get uglier?

Whatever it is, it will have "9/11" in the title.

He's gonna run for governor? Even his children would not vote for him, it really tells alot about this person.

What has this man done to fight terrorism? He was the mayor of NYC when the 9/11 strike occurred and that was the only connection to terrorism he has. He oversaw the cleanup operation for four months and that was it. How does that make him an anti-terrorist expert?

He always was the worst aspects of the human race all rolled up into one person. I, sadly, voted for him in '93 thinking that he would bring some semblance of sanity to this city. I wish we all had known better. Like the typical modern Republican, he forced his corporatist politics down everyone's throats to the detriment of New Yorkers.

I wish Rudy would just slither back under his rock.

He should go whoring with Elliott Spitzer.

i suspect a divorce from his gold digging ho

As a kid he was probably pushed down the stairs by his real "Italian" schoolmates.

Rudy should take McCain to whatever rock it is he plans on crawling under.

He should become governor of hell.
